At St. Andrews Public School, discipline is the cornerstone of a positive and productive learning environment. Our rules are designed to instill self-control, respect for others, and a sense of personal responsibility among students. We believe that good discipline supports academic achievement and helps students grow into responsible citizens.

General Conduct

Students are expected to be punctual and regular in attendance.

Politeness, good manners, and courteous behavior towards teachers, staff, and peers must be maintained at all times.

Use of inappropriate language, bullying, or any form of misconduct is strictly prohibited.

Students should keep the school premises clean and avoid damaging any property.

Mobile phones, electronic gadgets, or valuables are not permitted without prior permission.

Attendance and Leave

A minimum of 75% attendance is mandatory to appear for examinations.

Absence must be supported by a written application from parents/guardians.

Leave during school hours will only be granted in genuine cases, with prior approval from the Principal.

Repeated absence without information may lead to cancellation of admission.

Uniform and Appearance

Students must wear the prescribed school uniform neatly and properly every day.

Hair must be kept clean and tidy. Boys should have a proper haircut; girls must tie their hair neatly.

Wearing jewelry, makeup, or fancy accessories is not permitted.

Discipline in Academics

All students must complete their classwork, homework, and assignments on time.

Books and personal belongings should be properly labeled with the student’s name and class.

Cheating during tests or exams is considered a serious offence and will invite strict action.

Behavior in Classrooms and Campus

Silence must be maintained in classrooms, library, laboratories, and corridors.

Students should move in an orderly manner without causing disturbance.

During assemblies, students must maintain decorum and participate respectfully.

Disciplinary Action
Violation of school rules or repeated misconduct will result in disciplinary measures, including:

Verbal or written warning

Parental meeting

Suspension from classes

In severe cases, expulsion from the school
The Principal’s decision regarding disciplinary matters will be final and binding.
